What brought you to Mountain Strength CrossFit?
Throughout the years, we have both been members of various gyms and found that we did not get anything out of them. We had been having lots of conversations about doing something to ward off the rapid effects of aging. Wandering through the Winchester Town Fair, we met Rich and Ari who encouraged us to come to Mountain Strength and try it. They were not put off by our age and felt they could help us achieve our goals.
What is your favorite exercise or movement?
Anything to do with stretching and range of motion.
What is a skill or movement that you are working on to improve?
Agility, balance, flexibility, coordination and strength. Bob’s goal is to touch the floor.
What changes have you seen in yourself since you started at Mountain Strength CrossFit?
Weight loss, a desire to exercise, increased strength and stamina. For Bob he is now able to lift both arms full range of motion. For Sandee, the ability to do the first pushups in her life.
What is your favorite memory of Mountain Strength CrossFit?
The first class where we were competing with people much younger (in fact one was 50 years our junior). We had so much trouble doing any of the exercises. We were both so frightened to sign up and fail. Rich has worked one on one with each of us and his quiet patience and sense of humor makes it feel like anything is possible.
