The Mountain Strength Obstacle Prep program at Mountain Strength CrossFit is designed to help you conquer your next Obstacle Course race like a Spartan Sprint 5k or the Spartan Beast Half Marathon. Our OCR program creates an exhilarating and awesome group atmosphere of fitness, nutrition, and performance that optimizes individual performance in Spartan Races and other obstacle/mud run races (Tough Mudder, Warrior Dash, etc.) as well as in daily life. This OCR program utilizes a unique, independently developed strategy of strength, conditioning and endurance specifically for Obstacle Course racing.

The training is led by Rich Borgatti and Coach Gary Lombardo. Both certified Spartan SGX Level 2 coaches and Obstacle Specialists.

Gary is a certified Spartan SGX Level 2 Coach and experienced OCR racer. Gary has successfully competed at the top of his age group in several OCR events, including Spartan Sprint, Super, Beast and Ultra distance races. He also qualified and competed in the OCR World Championship in 2014-2017. He is also an accomplished triathlete and mountaineer, having completed Ironman triathlons, marathons, long-distance bike and swim races, as well as expeditions to the Himalaya, Andes, and Cascades. Gary is also a United States Triathlon (USAT) Level 1 Coach, CrossFit Endurance coach, and CrossFit Level 2 Trainer.
