What brought you to Mountain Strength CrossFit?
After spending most of my 30s see-sawing up and down in weight I was going frustrated with myself that I couldn’t maintain a healthy lifestyle. I realized what was missing was structure, variety and a supportive community. After checking out many different gyms and some dojos I came across MSCF and based on the enthusiasm I saw in it’s members displayed on MSCF’s FaceBook page I decided to try out a free intro class. After the 1 hour class and spending a few minutes talking to MSCF’s owner Rich Borgatti I knew without a doubt that I had found the place I was looking for.
What is your favorite exercise or movement?
The Murph! Aside from it being a great workout you really feel like your part of something quite special and larger then yourself during The Memorial Day Murph. It’s a fantastic display of the community which makes MSCF and Crossfit so special.
What is a skill or movement that you are working on to improve?
Double Unders! However based on my continuing suckage I must not be working hard enough at them.
What changes have you seen in yourself since you started at Mountain Strength CrossFit?
The ease at which I am now able to maintain a health focused lifestyle. Gone is the attitude that I am making sacrifices to reach my goals, it has been replaced with an excitement towards what I have and will achieve.
What is your favorite memory of Mountain Strength CrossFit?
My favorite memory was having my 8 year old son help me count the reps at the Memorial Day Murph. and seeing the look on his face when he realized his dad was the first one finished.
